Douglas is a partner at The Works which sits in the top 20 of the Great Place to Work in Australia. He is responsible for the leadership of the strategy team at The Works which is part of Capgemini, the global digital transformation business. The Works counts Aware Super, Subaru, Destination NSW, TAFE NSW, H&R Block, News Corp, The Smith Family, and Goodman Fielder among its clients. He was also ADMA Chair from 2008 to 2010.
Douglas is passionate about data driven marketing and is the driving force behind the award-winning social insights Datafication project. Douglas has delivered two TEDx talks, one on deceit in social media and the other on emotional AI. In 2016 he founded a start-up sister agency to The Works called On Message, specialising in chatbots, voice and AI. On Message has been recognised as a Gartner Cool Vendor. Douglas presents a monthly podcast on tech, data and innovation called Smart Dust which can be found on iTunes and Spotify.
