Nolan is a media strategist and the Global Gold Winner of Cannes Young Lions this year. He was born and raised in China, moved to Sydney as an international student 7 years ago, and kicked off his career in the Australian Adland after completing his masters. Prior to his experience in Australia, Nolan worked for a global public relations firm across several major clients such as Microsoft and Shanghai Tower.
With only one year in the industry, he won the ‘Media Federation of Australia NGEN Award’ with his partner Max for two years consecutively. He also brought one of the ideas to life, built the first online community powered by Minecraft for Australian deaf teens, which was recognised by B&T and featured him as a ‘Social Change Maker’.
This year, he was shortlisted in B&T 30 Under 30, as well as represented Australia to compete in Cannes Young Lions globally, and brought the gold medal home in the media category with his partner Max.
In his media career, he achieved planning experience across categories including FMCG, telco, travel, entertainment, government and auto. Key accounts include Spotify, Estée Lauder Companies, Telstra and NSW Government. He also worked on the new business pitches and helped his agency win Victoria State Government, UNSW and Invocare accounts.
